In October, Gov. Kaine announced that there would be an increase in funds for transportation at the state, regional and local levels. It looks like they will be using some of these funds to extend the Virginia Railway Express by 11 miles to service both Gainesville and Haymarket. It will still be five years or so before VRE riders have a few more stops!
