Katy ISD has received the Five Star (FAST) rating. They are only 1 of 43 other districts out of 1,235 public school district in the state of Texas to attain this honor. The FAST rating system recognizes districts and schools that have achieved high academic standings and cost-effective operations. FAST stands for the Financial Allocation Study for Texas.
The superintendent of Katy, Alton Frailey was quoted as saying,œTo be listed as one of only 43 districts in the entire state speaks volumes of our continued efforts maintain effective and efficient operations while creating an environment that is conducive to learning and student growth.
